About Atwater's Bakery
Atwater's has been making traditional food crafted by hand since 1999, starting as a small bakery and growing into shops specializing in soup, sandwiches, salad, cheese, coffee, Scottish pies, and jam. Bread is made with Small Valley Milling organic wheat ground in-house at the Atwater's Big Kitchen. Cheese begins with raw milk from Ayrshire cows at Palmyra Farm, gently pasteurized and turned into cheese at the Big Kitchen, making them among the few cheesemakers in Maryland and one of the only cheesemakers in Baltimore City. They also operate the Big Kitchen Farm, an urban farm built in 2016 in Morrell Park, West Baltimore, using organic and permaculture practices.
