About Global Gardens Chicago
In 2012, 42 refugee families turned a vacant lot into a productive garden. Today, our one acre farm in Chicago's Albany Park neighborhood has 58 plots for refugee families who want to grow for home consumption, as well as 6 larger plots managed by six farmers who sell to local restaurants and markets. Our produce is pesticide-free and grown on healthy, living soil.
