About Hot Dip Tin
Hot Dip Tin makes historically-accurate tinware using 7 different thicknesses of hot dipped tin and 3 sizes of tinned rivets. They closely examine originals and make "bench copies", offsetting parts if the original had them. They use hot dipped tin instead of electro-plated, tin for damming/soldering with rosin flux, and all tools and wares are pre-1865. Swages, stakes, and mandrils are used for Colonial tinware and rotary machines for Civil War tinware.
