Founded in 2001 producing quality horse hay, the farm evolved in 2008 to include garden crops sold at local farmers' markets, added cut flowers and restaurant relationships in 2009, and bee hives for pollination and honey in 2018. Gardens occupy about 3 acres of the 14-acre farm. Along with hay, fruits, vegetables, flowers and herbs, they produce jams and jellies from their own produce and that of other local NC farms. Practices include composting, cover cropping, a geothermal water system and solar power; no synthetic herbicides, pesticides, fungicides or fertilizers are used.
