About Lake Effect Apiaries
In 2011, our first Michigan beekeeping operation began with ten hives. In 2013 we formed Lake Effect Apiaries LLC, and now maintain between 900 and 1000 hives throughout the year. Our farm business is located in the countryside of Oceana, Mason, Newaygo, and Muskegon counties in Michigan with our base of operations in Hart/Mears, Michigan. In June, during our first 'honeyflow,' we begin producing our exquisite raw wildflower honey, bee-crafted round comb and larger half comb honey sections, and many other hive products.
