About Lara's Luffa
Lara's Luffa grows Luffa aegyptiaca, an annual gourd-family plant, from home-grown plants in Henrico. After the fruit matures on the vines, the skin is peeled, flesh and seeds removed, then hosed, washed and dried to leave a network of xylem fibers that becomes a natural bath or kitchen sponge. Handgrown and homemade, sold directly to customers.
