About Maine Water Buffalo Co
Water buffalo milk is deliciously creamy and a tad sweet, high in butterfat, calcium and protein, easier to digest for lactose intolerance, and used in Italy for mozzarella. Water buffalo meat has less saturated fat, less cholesterol, fewer calories and more protein than beef, with a mild flavor and softer texture. Herd is pasture fed with hay and grass, unaltered by hormones, chemicals or additives, and meat is USDA inspected.
