About Mama Roma
Mamma Roma first opened its doors in 2005. It is a family restaurant run by brothers Rino and Bruno. Rino graduated from the Angelo Celesti school of hospitals and worked in Italy's finest restaurants, including as sous chef for chef Piero Scaletti; Bruno attended law school at the Federico Second University of Naples while working as a server. Their roots and recipes go back to the 1950's, when the family started a chain of restaurants, Mamma Lucia. They offer their jarred sauces and fresh Italian bread at the market.
