About New Roots Redwood Farm

New Roots is an IRC program in Salt Lake City with a Micro-Training Farm Program on two leased sites: Redwood Road, a 2-acre farm in West Valley City, and Wheadon, a 13-acre farm in Draper. Over 36 refugee farmers from countries including Sudan, Burma, Bhutan, Chad, Somalia, and Burundi grow and market specialty crops, common in countries around the world but difficult to find in the U.S., achieving economic independence through direct sales.
