About Pacheco Family Ranch DBA Achadinha Cheese Co
The Achadinha Cheese Company is a family operated ranch led by Jim and Donna Pacheco and their four children William, Daniel, Elizabeth and David. The family tradition began three generations ago in Achadinha, Portugal and Vallejo, California. In 1969 the Pachecos settled in Petaluma where they currently milk 50 Jersey and Holstein cows to make farmstead cheeses, and also raise beef cows, pigs, sheep, chickens, dogs and cats. They have roughly 125 cows pastured on 230 acres, fed brewers grain and yeast from local breweries, whey, and oat and alfalfa hay, with no hormones or pesticides used.
