Reedy Creek Apiary began as a simple journey with a desire to have a beehive to pollinate the family garden, which blossomed into a true love and passion for everything associated with the honey bee — the only insect that creates food for humans. Bee populations are currently on the decline, with beekeepers losing 40-50% of their beehives every year. Since 1/3 of the food we eat requires pollination and honey bees accomplish 80% of that pollination, we must consider honey bee populations and do what we can to support and protect them.
