Each Rockway Pottery piece starts as clay on artist & founder MaryAnne Roethle's pottery wheel. The stoneware pottery is wheel-thrown and hand-carved, then fired to bisque. The bisqued pieces are glazed with mixes unique to the Cream City Clay studio. After a final stay in a 2100 degree kiln, the glaze is the consistency of glass & the stoneware is food safe, making it both beautiful & functional. Custom orders welcome.
