About Sunset Acres Farm
At our family farm in Downeast Maine, located on the banks of a tidal saltwater river, we milk a small herd of happy, healthy goats. Because we use only the fresh milk from our own herd of goats, our cheese is truly "farmstead." All of our cheese recipes utilize the old-fashioned European method of hand-ladling curd into cheesecloth bags or into individual forms, using European cultures, vegetable rennet, and fresh hand-crushed garlic, freshly ground peppercorns and our own fresh herbs.
