About The Urban Canopy
The Urban Canopy is working to create a more sustainable, nutritious, and equitable local food cycle. What started as a public school project is now a two-acre farm and a point of view about how food should be grown within Chicago. Their Local Unified Community Supported Agriculture program (LUCSA) sources fresh produce from a diverse range of local growers, delivered weekly or bi-weekly. They also offer compost pickup for residents, multi-unit buildings, events, and businesses.
