About Turtle Lake Refuge

Turtle Lake Refuge promotes sustainable practices honoring the wild wisdom of nature and the health of the community. The Turtle Cafe at 848 East 3rd Ave in Durango, Colorado serves a wild, local and living foods lunch every Tuesday and Friday year round, 11:11 AM - 2:22 PM. The four-acre Turtle Lake Community Farm, four miles out of town, has three greenhouses, an orchard of hundreds of fruiting trees and shrubs, beehives and organic gardens. They also offer classes on wild, edible and medicinal plants, permaculture and holistic health.
