About Wise Acre Farms
Wise Acre Farm raises chickens on 15 acres of leased farmland in Northern California. Custom built mobile coops are moved every 2-4 days, sometimes daily during the wet season, giving hens access to fresh grass, seeds, insects, snakes, frogs, lizards, and mice. Feed is supplemented with a custom formulated grain from Hunt & Behrens, a local feed mill based out of Petaluma, CA. The pasture is not tilled, supporting carbon sequestering and soil organic matter.
