The Mitchell family established the farm in 1796, primarily a dairy farm for 165 years. Started milking cows again in 1995 and opened the Creamery in 1998, making fresh ice cream on the farm using milk from 30+ Jersey cows. Recognized by Delaware as a Centennial farm in 1996.
